Chapters are updated from previous editions, introducing new problems, the inclusion of a chapter on “false news” and a chapter on “artificial intelligence,” bringing this journalism textbook into the 21st century. Each chapter includes a section on problem-based learning, identified as “Learning Challenge.” Problem-based learning takes the lessons in the chapter outside of the classroom and into the real world with hands-on activities.
